A bottle of 2013 Saint Joseph from renowned Hermitage producer Jean-Louis Chave. Saint Joseph is the second largest appellation in the northern Rhône appellation in terms of production, with around 920 hectares in production, around 90% of which is red produced from the Syrah grape variety.
'Fleshy in feel, with plum sauce and steeped cherry and raspberry notes gliding along over a backbone of bittersweet cocoa. There's a good chalky spine buried on the finish and solid, latent length. Built for the cellar. 93/100' Wine Spectator, 2016
