A bottle of Buton Vecchia Romagna Etichetta Nera Brandy from Italy. This is in flat, oval bottle rather than the triangular bottle which is more common for this brand.

The back of the bottle has the message 'Federal Law Forbids Sale Or Re-use Of This Bottle', which was required on US bottles from 1934 to 1964 and remained in use well into the early 1970s.

We estimate this was bottled in the 1970s.
