Chateau De Rayne Vigneau 1er Cru Classe 1988 Sauternes 75cl / 14%
A bottle of Château De Rayne Vigneau 1er Cru Classé 1988 from Sauternes, an 80 hectare property planted with 80% Sémillon and 20% Sauvignon Blanc.
'An intense, honeyed, pear, flower, and apricot fragrance is reminiscent of Muscat de Beaumes de Venise. In the mouth, there is exceptional richness, super focus because of fine acidity, a wonderful touch of toasty new oak, and an elegant, very positive, crisp finish. This is a beautifully made, authoritative tasting, and impeccably well-balanced Sauternes. 91/100' Robert M.Parker Jnr, 1997
