A bottle of Jean-François Ganevat Pinot Noir 2014 Julien en Billat from the Jura region of eastern France. One of the undoubted natural wine superstars of the region, Jean-François Ganevat makes over a hundred different wines from his 13 hectares of vines and ten growers, with production totalling around 65,000 to 70,000 bottles per year.
The wine is made biodynamically produced using no sulphur, and no new oak. The 2014 Julien en Billat is a blend of two of his Cuvées, the Julien and Grusse en Billat, which were combined because of tiny yields.
