Description

A 4.5 litre flagon of Royal Navy rum encased in a wicker basket.

Interestingly, the wax seal on top has been stamped with an American quarter-dollar coin. The words 'In God We Trust' and 'Liberty' are visible, as well as George Washington's profile.

This would have been bottled prior to the abolition of the daily 'tot of rum' in the Royal Navy in the 1970s.
