Description

This lot contains seven pieces of correspondence and a purchase receipts sent from Gonzalez, Byass & Co. to their client William Pulling & Co. Dated 1899-1909.

Six letters of correspondence concerning William Pulling & Co's dislike for the wine sent to them and Gonzalez, Byass & Co's apology and way of resolving the issue by exchanging it for a butt of Amontillado Sherry.

"We have very carefully compared the sample of Amontillado Sherry, and must confess that the wine is wanting in firmness and character."

One purchase receipt acknowledging the amount paid. Dated 30 December 1899.
