A bottle of Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin 2004 vintage Champagne: a blend of 62% Pinot Noir, 8% Pinot Meunier and 30% Chardonnay, with a percentage of the fruit undergoing initial fermentation in oak fermenters, lending structure to the finished wine.
In 1810, Madame Clicquot broke new ground, creating the first known vintage champagne, a wine composed of grapes from a single, exceptional harvest.
