This lot contains 12 bottles of Condrieu La Berne 2013 from producer Lionel Faury, harvested from a 3.3 hectare holding of Condrieu planted on granite slopes with a gradient of up to 55%. The wine is aged for 11 months on lees in 10% new barrels, 30% 2 to 5 year-old barrels, and 60% stainless steel and - tasted in our offices prior to listing - has the perfume and texture typical of top-flight examples of Northern Rhône Viognier, balanced by an elegant, fresh, linear finish.
This lot comes from the temperature-controlled cellar of media businessman and wine enthusiast Lord Evgeny Lebedev, where it has been kept since purchase direct from UK importers.
Please see images for fill level and label condition. Note damage to some of the labels.
The Whisky.Auction team has inspected this lot and found it to be suitable for sale. However, please note the absence of a condition statement does not imply that this lot is in perfect condition or free from wear and tear, imperfections or the effects of ageing. Older bottles often contain small amounts of sediment. We cannot guarantee that the contents of this bottle will be free from the effects of age, cork taint, oxidation or other faults.
This bottle does not appear to be leaking. While we take every care to pack bottles securely we cannot guarantee that old corks and closures will not leak in transit.
