Description

This lot contains 12 pieces of correspondence and invoices sent to and from wine and spirit merchants, dated from 1907 to 1932 to 1903.

One invoice from Marshall & Marshall Ltd. to its client Johnson Basker & Co., for '2 Galls. Orange Bitters', dated 25 June 1907.

Three invoices from John Young & Co., Ladywell Brewery, to its client Mr W Beveridge casks of ale and stout, dated 1909.

One invoice from Thomas Young & Co. to its client Mr W Beveridge for quantities of Auld Reekie Scotch Whisky, dated 1910.

One letter from The Deacon Brodie Whisky Co., Glasgow, to its client F Portanier, Malta, acknowledging receipt of payment and inviting future orders, dated 24 May 1911.

One invoice from George Younger & Son Ltd., Brewers, to its client Mr W Beveridge for hogsheads of India Pale Ale, dated 4 May 1915.

One invoice from Gallaher Limited for tobacco, dated July 1915.

Two invoices from John A Bertram & Co., Wine Merchants, to its client Mr W Beveridge for quantities of wine.

One handwritten note (in French) on a menu card advertising Remy Fils Chesky, dated 1932.
