Description

This lot contains two bottles of Amarone della Valpolicella Classico from Allegrini, a full-bodied dry red wine made from partially dried fruit. This is a blend of 45% Corvina Veronese, 45% Corvinone and 5% each of Rondinella and Oseleta.

'A warmly spiced nose of plum liqueur, roasting herbs, chestnuts, fruit cake, dried figs, cedar, tobacco, baking spices, treacle and toasted oak. Full-bodied with some sweetness, round tannins, a pretty serving of acidity and a long finish. Drink in 2021. 93/100' James Suckling, tasted 2018
