A bottle of 1968 Mastroberardino Taurasi Montemarano.

This is bottle number 3514.

The 1968 vintage for Mastroberardino in Campania, southwest Italy, was considered to be of such fine quality that the company produced three single vineyard wines, of which Montemarano is the largest: 12 hectares of southeast-facing vines at an altitude of 500m to 650m. The late Antonio Mastroberardino was a key proponent of the indigenous local grape varieties, and this is an Aglianico blend.
