Description

A bottle of 2005 Volnay-Santenots 1er Cru from winemaker Pierre André.

Santenots is a south-southeast facing 29 hectare Premier Cru vineyard from the Volnay appellation in Burgundy's Côte de Beaune. Soils here are deeper in colour and firmer in structure than most of the village, with a greater iron content, resulting in more structured wines.
