A bottle of The Last Vatted Malt Cask Strength Scotch Whisky from independent bottler Compass Box.
This bottle was released in 2011 to commemorate the end of 'Vatted Malt' being used as a classification for whisky. Today, the term 'Blended Malt' is used in its place. It is a blend of Islay (1984 Caol Ila) and Speyside (1974 Aberlour) whiskies and was bottled at cask strength.
One of 1323 bottles.
This bottle comes from the private collection of one of the original employees at Compass Box. His collection of Compass Box whiskies spans the history of the brand from the first bottling released in 2000 to more recent limited editions.
Please see images for fill level and label condition. Note wear to the wax seal.
Note the absence of a condition statement does not imply that this lot is in perfect condition or free from wear and tear, imperfections or the effects of ageing. Older bottles often contain small amounts of sediment. We cannot guarantee that the contents of this bottle will be free from the effects of age, cork taint, oxidation or other faults.
This bottle does not appear to be leaking. While we take every care to pack bottles securely we cannot guarantee that old corks and closures will not leak in transit.
