Description

A litre bottle of the discontinued Aberlour 100 Proof Pure Single Highland Malt Scotch Whisky. We estimate this was bottled in the 1990s.

Aberlour distillery was founded in 1879 by James Fleming at the confluence of the rivers Spey and Lour, with St Drostan's Well as its water source. When journalist and distilling historian Alfred Barnard visited the distillery in the 1880s, he described it as 'the perfect modern distillery'. Today, Aberlour is owned by Chivas Brothers, but every bottle still carries James Fleming's original motto, 'Let The Deed Show'.

This Aberlour 100 Proof sold at our online auction for £105
