A bottle of 2000 Valpolicella Superiore from Dal Forno Romano, a full-bodied dry red wine made from partially dried Corvina, Rondinella, Croatina and Oseleta grapes. Located in Val D’Illasi, the Dal Forno estate consists of 65 acres of vines planted at 50 to 250 metres of altitude with traditional indigenous varieties.

Dal Forno have been making wine since 1983, when Romano Dal Forno made the decision to consult the Veneto's most celebrated wine producer, Giuseppe Quintarelli, for advice on making wine himself, rather than selling grapes directly to the local co-operative. The hugely concentrated wines he made as a result have themselves become benchmarks for the region.
