Description

This lot contains two bottles of 2000 Château Gloria from Bordeaux's Saint-Julien appellation, from 44 hectares of vineyards planted with 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc and 5% Petit Verdot.

'This is really delicious, with a core of juicy blueberry, blackberry and plum fruit flavors layered with singed juniper, tobacco leaf and bittersweet cocoa notes. The lovely interplay between sweet and savory continues through the finish, which has a long, graceful sanguine echo. Drink now through 2023. 93/100' Wine Spectator Online, tasted 2016

This lot comes from the temperature-controlled cellar of media businessman and wine enthusiast Lord Evgeny Lebedev, where the bottles have been kept since purchase direct from UK importers.
