This lot contains nine bottles of 2000 Réserve de la Comtesse, the second wine from Château Pichon Longueville in Bordeaux's Pauillac appellation.
'An excellent second wine (a blend of 66% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Merlot, and the rest Cabernet Franc), with medium to full body, opulent, delicious fruit, and copious quantities of black fruits intermixed with spice box, the 2000 Comtesse de Lalande should drink well for 10-15 years. It is one of the finest second wines this estate has produced. 89/100' Robert Parker, tasted 2003
This lot comes from the temperature-controlled cellar of media businessman and wine enthusiast Lord Evgeny Lebedev, where it has been kept since purchase direct from UK importers.
