This lot contains 12 half-bottles of 2004 Château Doisy-Daëne from the sub-appellation of Barsac in Sauternes. Doisy-Daëne has 18.2 hectares under vine, much of which underwent extensive replanting in the 1950s and 1960s. It is now planted to 86% Sémillon and 14% Sauvignon Blanc.
'A fine, complex wine that balances sweetness with fresh lemon and honey flavours on top of a core of dry botrytis and a tight structure. A wine for aging.' Roger Voss, Wine Enthusiast
This lot comes from the temperature-controlled cellar of media businessman and wine enthusiast Lord Evgeny Lebedev, where they have been kept since purchase direct from UK importers.
Please see images for fill level and label condition. Note wear to the labels.
Note the absence of a condition statement does not imply that this lot is in perfect condition or free from wear and tear, imperfections or the effects of ageing. Older bottles often contain small amounts of sediment. We cannot guarantee that the contents of this bottle will be free from the effects of age, cork taint, oxidation or other faults.
This bottle does not appear to be leaking. While we take every care to pack bottles securely we cannot guarantee that old corks and closures will not leak in transit.
