The unique coronation label was created by fellow Londoner and world-renowned goldsmiths and silversmiths Thomas Lyte, whose Royal Warrant was granted in 2008 as a mark of recognition for the quality of its craftspeople and products. The bottle also carries the all important official hallmark to certify the quality of the gold, one of the first to feature our new King’s commemorative mark, guaranteeing the provenance and confirming all legal standards of purity and fineness have been upheld to the highest standards.
Only one bottle was auctioned worldwide with all proceeds from the sale donated to The Drinks Trust. For those unlucky at the auction and not crowned the highest bidder, a second bottle went on sale from 11th October with a regal price of £4,000 via the Beefeater Distillery website giving avid royal fans the opportunity to own a piece of history.
Beefeater Crown Jewel’s precious liquid remains untouched and is treasured by bartenders worldwide, as it is an elevated version of Beefeater’s iconic London Dry Gin recipe with a boldly heightened 50% ABV. This strength captures the additional citrus notes from grapefruit peel, which is added to Beefeater’s iconic nine botanical recipe. Beefeater Crown Jewel is perfectly balanced with clarity of flavour and unmistakeable depth.
All proceeds from the Beefeater Crown Royal Charity Auction are to raise funds for The Drinks Trust.
The Drinks Trust (Registered Charity No.1023376) is the community organisation for the drinks industry, offering support and services to help its community thrive, to upskill, to broaden their knowledge, to network and learn from one another. It will also be there to support them in challenging times, with wellbeing and financial assistance.
The online auction for Beefeater Crown Jewel was held in October 2023.
