To mark Earth Day on 22 April 2021, Place of the Way challenged 16 of the world’s best bartenders to create a selection of wildlife-inspired cocktails. Each cocktail represents one of the world’s most endangered animals and all proceeds will go to the World Wildlife Fund, a leading conservation organisation with a mission to create a world where people and wildlife can thrive together.

'A Coconut Milk Gin Punch inspired by my Moorea Memories, a Mindful Cocktail to celebrate Earth Day.
This Mindful Cocktail is low alcohol, vegan and natural and blue like the deep ocean in honor of my animal totem the dolphin.
Inspired by my childhood living in French Polynesia with my mother where I got to connect deeply with this fascinating animal that the dolphin is, I even volunteer in my teens years at a Dolphin Rescue to save dolphins in Moorea a small island next to Tahiti.
I have vibrant memories of my few years living there, swimming in the oceans, connecting with nature, learning about the joyful Tahitian culture and I wanted to celebrate this in this Mindful Cocktail
I've decided to do a Milk Punch but using coconut milk as coconut is such an essential ingredients in all Polynesian culture and as well to make it vegan and animal friendly to celebrate the earth.
I've decided to use Gin to add botanicals and floral notes to it and also because I wanted to highlight Mermaid Gin, a wonderful brand on a mission to save our ocean, not only is Mermaid carbon zero and plastic free, but also supports Marine conservation.
I used Jasmine tea and Ylang Ylang as both are a bit part of my memories there, Pineapple juice, coconut sugar, French vanilla from there and a touch of spices with cinnamon & star anise
And for the mesmerizing colour I use blue spirulina to make its natural and without any artificial colouring.'
